The best pill tracker for dosages and refills

This app is very intuitive, visually stunning and minimalist in design but not in functions. It is a highly effective pill tracker. I love seeing my dosage remaining on the pill screen, and that the time of day I took the pill is tracked. This is a very elegant app and worth every penny. I also like that I can customize the sound and notification text so I can keep my privacy about the medications I take.

Premium version

I have to buy premium version to try for my apple watch; really??? I have tried far too many of these pill minders that dont work as advertised; so NO!

Just what I needed!

Easy to use, very user-friendly. Just exactly what I was looking for to track my meds after a major surgery. Thank you!

Must have

This is my new favorite pill reminder app! I take a handful or daily meds and vitamins plus a few that are PRN or as needed. My last pill reminder app let you enter that you had PRN meds but didnt offer a way to record or track that you took them, a big fail.

Massive fail

Third pill app Ive tried this week. It is missing many features, and does not record taking pills. The log says 0 but Ive taken 3. Dont waste your 3 bucks. Does anybody actually take pills and know how it goes over where the developers sit?

Very useful.

Keeps track of what you take & when you take it. If you have a new short term med just put it in for the nimbler of days needed. Reminders can be set to be more, or less, attention getting. I plan to get this app for a family member who is disabled & takes multiple meds but sometimes has problems keeping track. However, even if only used for OTC supplements & meds that need care with how much & how often, it really makes it all easier & safer.

Overall not bad

This works pretty good compared to others Ive tried. The times & repeats are excellent, especially if you have Meds taken every 3 days or every other day, or weekly. Most dont allow that. And it hides or shows doses taken. Downside: (1) theres no way to see tomorrows Meds, if you need to plan ahead, you are stuck out. (2) the way the list of pills sorts is bizarre on the first list and about useless, the order they were entered? What good is that? A little more emphasis on dates/times would be more useful. All in all, once you get used to it, its about the best one going, especially if you have any oddball schedules to keep up with.

Alarm or Message function NOT working

I really like this apps functionality, it is simple to use, but useless till the notification function is fixed. Will rate it a 5 star when it starts working! Update: Found that the PM alarm works, but the AM does not.

I Love Easy Pill!!!

Taking care of a friend with a heavy med schedule, I needed help keeping track. After paper charts that I could never keep up with I found this app and it has saved me. It was stressful trying to make sure I got it right. I set it once and the reminders allow me to not think about it. Great App!!!

setup, then remind me as needed

I seldom write reviews. But thought I would for Easy Pill. It simply works and works well. It takes a few minutes to setup and get the way I like it. I set detailed info in the notes field like Dr, date prescribed, etc. When I go to another Doctor whom asks my meds I simply pull out my iPhone and have dosage, history, Dr, all readily available. I like the export aka "email drug list". The first time I used it, it showed I had not been taking my meds as I should. I really hadnt realized it till them. (I was in the process of moving from a competing product, I am sure this effected the results) I like its iCloud support, even though I have it installed on one device. I recently gave my iPad (original) to the kids. It has a passcode feature so little ones cannot get in and mess up things while trying to play AB. etc (AB = a popular flying fowl game) The app functions and functions well. I have used almost every app out there. Some like fancy pics / icons etc which is nice BTW, (call it a feature request ) but if you want something that you set and forget this is it. The reminders come in every day at the time I set, I never forget to take my meds. Oh two features request add a second reminder to the list of available options sometimes the reminder goes off while I am driving and a second one for later at the office would be great. The second request is to have multiple users. We have 4 kids and it would be helpful to have records for them all. But even without these request it by far exceeds my desires and is the top of my goto list. Regarding Support I emailed the developer and had a reply within a couple of days, considering I submitted it on the weekend that was ample time for a reply.

Just what i wanted

This is the best pill app Ive found so far. A very smooth interface. I like to be able to assign a certain time to take my meds, and this allows that. The sounds are great. Customer support is fast also.

So simple, exactly what I need

The interface is elegantly simple. Whether for reminders for medicine taken at specific times, or to record PRN (as needed), this is the app you want.

Great, but several suggestions

Out of all the med reminder apps out there, this is my favorite because it is so clean looking (matching iOS UI style) and gives so much flexibility, particularly if you are late for reasons you can’t explain the app. I do like it and have a difficult time using others. I highly recommend it. That being said, I have several recommendations: 1) Please add a function where you can choose sounds for your notifications (even if just the default new, nice iOS sounds which I think should be accessible to developers, I could be wrong). If it has a sound now, I keep missing it. 2) Consider notifications that can lump all medications that are at the same time together (so instead of “Take your A”, “Take your B”, and “Take your C” as 3 notifications at 8 AM, lumpy them “Your A, B, C medications are due at TIME.” 3) It would be good to offer a “nickname” for each med that user can use and that can be displayed in notification instead. This is protect privacy. Say there is an antidepressant, the user might prefer that the notification appearing on phone says “Take the red pill” (red pill being the nickname). 4) For sake of aesthetics, as the program already looks that it belongs to iOS 7, it would be nice to upgrade the actual UI (keyboards and progress boards) fully to iOS7. I think the keyboard still has the iOS 6 feel as do progress bars. 5) Move the email of your medication list into the main bar rather than hide it in settings. This is likely a useful setting. Also, consider give the option of just displaying the medication list as well with doses, so patient can print that out prior to visits. They might not want all the % missed doses available. Despite the number of suggestions of this app, I do think it is my favorite. As an MD, I am very particular as to what I would want to recommend for my patients. I also use it for myself. These are just advice to make this app better and make it really competitive. The key of this app is that it gives the user flexibility and it looks clean.

Clean app

Simplest and cleanest of the pill-reminder apps. Negatives: Doesn’t handle day boundaries well, only supports notifications on the hour, no option for silent reminders

Almost everything we were looking for

This is a really great app for us. My wife and I use it (iCloud sync) to track our daughters meds for a chronic condition. The one improvement I would love to see is syncing without having to open the app (e.g. if I mark the med taken before the reminder time her phone wouldnt sound the alarm - or once one of us marks it as taken the other wouldnt have to launch the app to stop the reminder alarm).

Best med reminder Ive tried

This is the best med reminder Ive tried, and Ive tried most. To the person who can only schedule reminders on the hour. After creating the reminder, go back and edit the reminder. The edit allows you to select any time you want.

The best pill tracking app Ive found…

Simple to set up, easy to use. Love that it syncs with iCloud across devices. Plus, great technical support with speedy & helpful responses! Tip: To be able to re-order the list of meds, just shake your iPhone.

Almost perfect

(My previous review has been updated to reflect that the developer has been very responsive to my suggestions and has implemented new features.) Not only is this a beautiful app, but it is one of only two on the App Store (that Ive found, perhaps) that correctly reschedules meds taken "every nn hours" based upon the time taken. For example, when you have a med that you take every four hours and youve scheduled it at 7am, 11am, etc., you want your second dose to be rescheduled for 11:30am when you actually take your first dose at 7:30am. Its so easy to get into the app, mark your meds taken, and get out. And now the developer has made it even easier by adding actionable notifications and Apple Watch support. The developer has also expanded the options for reminders and for flexible dosing. I can now be reminded every minute if I want to take my medication — no way I can forget now! The only downside to the app is that it tracks meds for only one patient. I suppose, though, that I can add family members names to the medications and get the same effect. After all, I do really like this app.

Pretty Perfect!

My favorite two features are that I can mark the dose as taken from the alert or lock screen and the rolling timer for timed doses! The only feature Im missing is to be able to post-date doses taken. I Jerry-rigged it by adjusting my phones clock, but a previous pill tracker Ive used allowed you to adjust the time you record for a dose. Not a big enough deal to lower the rating though!

Perfect Pill Tracker

This app works wonderfully and is very thoughtfully designed. I had to contact the developers about an issue I was having and their customer support was top notch.
